I wonder if this will keep the police busy instead of being out on the streets actively targeting foreigners to try and get some "fines out of them"

My mate has been targeted 5 times while running on Patong beach for not having a mask while Thais sit near by with no masks in large social groups

Thailand needs to step up here.  It is not a poor country and this vaccination programme should be way more advanced than it is.  If they get the lead out and hit it hard in a military style operation, they might just get a decent income from tourists over the winter.

The problem is: they waited too long. All of the reliable vaccines are at max production capacity and all doses are spoken for. There are both new plants opening and new vaccines (Novovax) ramping up. But orders placed now get put at the back of the queue. Even if Thailand jumped in with both feet the logistical realities will put delivery off by several months.

I remember a couple of months ago seeing the Phuket regulations from the local authority (in English) saying that exercising did not require the wearing of a face mask, as it impeded your breathing.
Has this changed, or are the police just doing what a lot of people suspect and lining their pockets with 'fines' from unsuspecting members of the public?

In my view, the rules have not changed, Tim would be the man to ask on this, But i don't think they would bother him too much as they are probably scared of the shirts , just joking Tim
