Four police officers were sentenced to 50 years in prison after they solicited bribes from an erotic massage parlor in the Din Daeng district of Bangkok. Officers from the Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission  (PACC) raided Nataree Massage after being notified the establishment was using women under the age of 18 that had been trafficked. So the money wasn’t sent to individuals accounts but to the bank accounts of the Police & Government Departments to then be distributed to individuals? No wonder they resist computerization of records.

I have a friend who runs a small bar, the Thai police turn up regularly from two different regions for ‘brown envelopes’ this is just a racket similar to ‘mafia protection’ schemes and people are expected to respect police officers.
