After a recent study has concluded that over 1/4 of student monks in the Phra Pariyatti Dhamma General Education schools nationwide are overweight, a new food and health programme has arrived. The National Health Commission Office has launched the project together with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences of Chulalongkorn University and 6 other organisations. The goal is to curb child obesity in the group of 33,000 students. I typically give a head-shake to anything swirling the toilet bowl of religion, but running a Fat Camp at the temple sounds a good, useful effort.  Lots of free 4-legged protein sources running around as well.  Two birds, one stone.  🐶
