Why the obsession with separating Thai and Foreigner?

Won't this mean further to walk in some cases depending on where your barrier is?

Domestic they still make you take off your mask and match the photo with your face. So how is this going to be faster? AI? Or will it be like everyone is prequalified in a system?

It's a separate thing to passport control. It merely checks your boarding pass and allows entry into the security hand luggage check area, and then passport control.

In Soyouwannaboomboom this would mean no-one needs to look at your boarding pass before you go up the escalator to the first security check after check-in.

Seems like a waste of time and money as same as tooting a horn that is noteless. I am quite familiar with what they currently have going from the last changes as just in the last 3 months alone have flown from Suvarnabhumi about 5 times going back home to CM. Domestic I wonder what they will do for folks that go in and then go back out and then go back in as I have done on a coiuple of occasions. Leaves a little room for hanky panky stuff if no id's are checked and no red lights and whistles go off for getting folk back behind the scenes if something is orchestrated by bad people. Thats why was wondering if any AI is involved.

None. It is an extra process.

'The PVS will confirm each passenger’s travel information and provide an extra layer of security against fraud, as the airport explained'

No it isn't

It will be an automated check-in

Air Canada now has it in Vancouver for departing International flights

It took me less than 5mins to check in and drop my bag

If this works the same way, and it is as described, it should speed up the process
