If your information was really correct then how do you explain the failures of countries: CUBA, CHINA, RUSSIA, NORTH KOREA, and more where the PEOPLE have basically NO healthcare, little availability of good paying jobs, lack of available food and clothing, lack of available schools, teachers, indentured servitude, and very poor quality of life. I grew up in a democracy and am very thankful of that. Yes, ALL POLITICAL ENVIRONMENTS have some corruption but in a DEMOCRACY, at least you cannot be killed, or imprisoned for trying to correct/change the people responsible for that corruption. IMHO
