UPDATE Pattaya police arrested 16 Middle Eastern joyriders and seized 43 motorcycles on Monday night after complaints from locals. Police made known they are still on the lookout for the rest of the racers and that the relevant motorcycle rental shops would be charged too. Officers from the Provincial Police Region 2, and Mueng Pattaya Police Station, held a press conference yesterday to report the latest development on the motorcycle racers. I thought I'd escaped this kind of stupidity when I moved from London but apparently not. Just goes to show dumb can be found everywhere.

The numbers don't add up, 16 arrested but 43 bikes seized, I understand maths isn't a strong point in Thailand but, did the others run away or was it ghost riders ? 555

They said that they are still looking for the others who presumably did a runner.

was in pattaya couple weeks ago. Racing mc ?not much else to do. unless you're a big shopper. TAT 'targeted/lured' them. Need to live with it as well as the big spending Indians & Vietnamese🙄

They need to live with the consequences of being caught for breaking the law not tolerated. “ Need to live with it”? Are you serious?The police should be strict with them as they are putting the lives of locals and tourists at risk. There are plenty of other things to do in and around Pattaya. 🤪Nothing wrong with big spending Indians and Vietnamese.
