Thailand’s Constitutional Court has suspended Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha from his duties until the court makes a final verdict on his eight-year term limit. The 77 year old Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan will step in as PM for the time being. Out of the nine people on the voting committee, five voted to suspend Prayut from his duties. As he admits to wearing about 4 or 5 government hats I'm sure he will just keep taking the pay and juggle which job he needs to keep his finger on the pulse.

Some puppet will sit in the chair while he still pulls the strings no doubt.

I would think the pay is inconsequential. Probably reality is he and his regime cronies are fully vested into every cookie jar through the back door.

Yes it's not the pay (which he could donate to any charity) but his ability to cling on through any underhanded method be it job title swapping or just ignoring the will of the people. I'm sure his tenure start date will be moved to he 2017 or 2019 date whatever happens.
