All this means after some thought and reports of the records profits that other energy companies are making despite them claiming its due to rising fuel costs. Profits would indicate this isnt true. So the answer seems to be one of these two answers

a). either the Thai energy companies think they should get in one some of the action (even though after covid a lot of thai people cant afford it.)

b). The foreign energies have some sort of control through shares of something and are driving these rise in prices.

Its all about profits this has been repeated time and time again and prices rarely go back down.

The fragile thai economy with its 40 baht meals, 4000 baht rents cannot afford one of the main pillars of society (reasonable bills) to crumble.
