Rohypnol is commonly associated with “date rape,” with many people worldwide – mostly women – reporting that they have been raped after someone slipped the drug into their drink. Ah let's make it really scary!

1. Trot out that ONE GUY in 64 million who went postal. It never happens in weekly alcohol murder stories quite  the way they dwell on it , caress it, milk it, like other drug stories. Beware of this, you'll suddenly see it in every media drug story always!

2. Trot out the tired old "cut with other drugs" nonsense.

It's an urban myth.

Why would criminals give away free "other drugs" when they could just sell them to a very knowledgeable and willing customer base?

The main problem is clean drugs are cut with other worthless garbage, that could pose a health risk. This would not be a problem if govermts controlled supply and not crime cartels.

People are always going to get high no matter how high they threaten to hang them!

It's a concern that stolen Roofies are being peddled, but not worth parents freaking out over. Supply is very limited, and when they're gone there's no more. Kids would typically share half a tab, these things are not cheap.

Thus overdose even less likely. Let's remember these are just a potent sleep medicine. Science before sensational media panic.

Id be more worried about fake Roofies, but they're just not worth the effort making when meth is so easy, cheap and far more sought after.

Someone tries meth, they don't need to be date raped, it's instantly on!

Which is why of course, millions love it.
