Put them all to work in the tourism, hotel, and services industry, no other Thais seem to want to.

You do not want to let all these people out without a job waiting would you?

His Royal Majesty is 70 years old. Royals pardons are always granted upon every 12th birthday for certain royals. So there will be another pardon in 2 years. btw: the majority of prisoners released as a result of a Royal Pardon are released because their overall sentence is reduced so their sentence is complete, not because they are granted parole nor released onto parole. Parole can take up to 6 months to be granted after 1/3 sentence served and parole application lodged.
