UPDATE The Director of the Inter-City Motorway Division, Highway Department, Thanasak Wongthanakijcharoen, defended his highway officers after they were criticised for their slapstick approach to a car crash investigation which couldn’t find the body of the dead driver in the rear of the vehicle. The director said his team didn’t look for the driver’s corpse because it is a department policy not to get involved in property loss. One way for a solution would be: 

Don't allow 100% tinted, ok, 90% tinted windows, except for the rear one.

So a police officer (or a speed camera) can see, who or if someone is in there.

That would additionally be of advantage for the driver at night: They would not need to open the side window, in case they wanna see if someone comes from that direction, before they drive on.

The daughter has a point of course, what if he was alive after the accident? By the look of the car I doubt that but still. They should have checked the interior.

I'm confused, who's job is it to go to an accident scene and provide medical assistance to a person involved in a traffic accident.

If no-one is checking inside a vehicle of what looks to me like a major accident do they just assume that the car got their by itself.
