Obtaining a tourist visa has become significantly more difficult since the closure of Consulates and no turning up at the Thai Embassy. Everything is completed on line which sound simple and straight forward, far from it. You pay when submitting your application form and should there be any discrepancies, they will get in touch with you (at some stage via e mail) but tend to be vague as to what is missing. After 14 days, it is cancelled with no refund. Bring back the regional Consulates please.

I totally agree, we had to pay €370 each for a 90 day visa from the robbing b#####d in Nicosia, Cyprus,  apparently the official representative for the Thailand Consulate! We complained to TAT, to the Thailand embassy here, the Cyprus embassy/ Consulate in both countries, did we get get any help, of course not, we got jack s##t. We're going to try the Bangkok, Mexican embassy next, for a move to Playacar next year, wish us luck please😳🙏

WOW!!! 370 Euros seems extreme, we paid 30GBP for the 90 day visa. To date we have had 3 e mails from the Thai Embassy requesting info that is not on the application form which has to be downloaded, printed off, signed, scanned and returned on line to the Embassy. It used to be a 45 minute drive to the Thai Consulate, now it's a marathon on line procedure.

Good luck with your next venture. 😔
