Normally you have a protocol in place a emergency plan include where to get the machinery needed for the lifting under a standby contract that mean they have to be there in a few hours but planning is not a thai thing if it happen in 1 month again its gone be the same

Moving any aircraft that has overrun a runway and ended up, undercarriage less,  in a boggy ground is a nightmare.  The criticism on this post is uninformed and unwarranted.  Aircraft are fragile things in this condition and breaking it into two and writing it off  is a considerable risk, to be avoided at all costs. You can't just haul them out and jacking it up is a major operation and very difficult in such ground, even with specialist equipment, that is probably only available at BKK.  I am surprised that it can be done in under 3 or 4 days.

In Japan, Hong Kong or Singapore, it is likely to take only 2 hours. Thai efficiency at its best.

They are still waiting to remove the passengers …. Quoting safety reasons, but expect all well by Friday.

Nok Air flying a new route to Chiang Mai instead.

Nonsense. This is a specialist operation, to be undertaken using specialist equipment, probably only available at BKK, operated by trained specialist engineers.  If they can do it in 2 days then that would be well done to them.

Yeah, it is most advanced and first of its kind in the world. Only the Thais can do it.
