I don't see why the owners of a car park should be responsible for the actions of a wild snake. Snakes go almost anywhere they want to go. What should the owners do? Set up snake patrols?

What if a bee stings someone and it gets infected? Should the owners of the car park be liable?

I believe most malls put up a sign that says park at your own risk at the entrance. Maybe to preempt situations like this.

People will try anything to get some money they feel entitled to how can the mall be responsible for a snake on their property? It’s a wild creature that will just defend itself she probably stepped on it.

Amused by Thai language headline in the linked Khaosod source article, which translates through Google as:

"She killed the snake, which removed any future recourse.".  Nice one!

In addition to that refreshing take on this, I'm also chuffed that Thaiger staff smartly characterized the snake in question as venomous, not poisonous.  On ya'!

Well realistically the mall should have some sort of insurance that would cover it. They should step up and offer something even if it is not theri fault. Wouldn't want to get bit by any viper.

Not seeing how it is the Malls fault a snake got into their car park, does that make it the municipal authorities fault if it happens on a road or pavement? Surprised they offered to pay her medical bills as in the west that could be construed as an admission of liability.
