Weed is popular in Thailand and growing daily.

The economy of Malaysia will lose out as millions of peaceful stoners just decide they can shove their mediaeval busybody testing up their sarong kebaya 🤣

Good. Less people around means more enjoyable holiday. If stoners can’t do without pot and need to take their greens with them it’s called addiction.

Complete nonsense. They committed no offense in Malaysia...they'd legally consumed it in Thailand and hadn't even entered Malaysia yet.

This practise of convicting people based on a urine test is jurisdictional overreach

Err, read the article. They didn't take any with them. They got urine tested and then jailed for 3 days for having legally consumed it in Thailand!!

This forcing you to do a drug test is sheer BS. And yes Thailand also does it. Against all human rights and freedoms.

Some say your eyes will change colour when you smoke weed. Probably that gives or its profiling. Not everyone gets checked.

My point was and still is, unless they openly are smoking it and get caught or pull it out and the authorities see it, it is against human rights. This is plainly a duck shoot to get money.

Another example of opportunistic illegal greed.

Is this something they did before or did they wait till it was decriminalised?

Stoners can test positive up to 30 days after the last  smoke. Even 1 puff stays in your system for 3 days.
