Thailand is expecting a tenfold increase in visitors from Saudi Arabia after the launch of the Bangkok to Jeddah route on August 19. Deputy government spokesperson Rachada Dhnadirek estimates that the upcoming launch of the direct air route between the holy city of Mecca and the Kingdom of Thailand’s capital city will push up the number of visitors from 30,000 to 300,000. We can see the difference in an approach of a different countries.

 

After a few hiccups, Thailand launched tourism in very optimistic way. Very easy to get into country, stay over winter, now even the legalized weed that attracts many. Well done. 

 

Meanwhile, Vietnam is crying that not enough tourists are coming. Why is that? Expensive visa, that needs to be applied at least a week before arrival….and maximum stay 1 month. Not mentioning that beaches are ugly and a very few.
