Again, you mistake personal judgement for government policy.

"Foreigner" is not a race.

Most Thais do treat people differently, according to skin colour - we can agree on that.

Twice in the last 2 weeks I have been charged for foreigner entry at tourist sites, at 4 times the rate for a Thai.  Double I can come to the party but at 4 times the price????????

Both places I was the sole foreigner that was recognizable by ethnic origin and both places used "foreigner" wording on their entry price boards.

Only 4x? Some places are 10x and other 15x. You got off lightly

And hence my oft-repeated assertion that Thailand is not only the most racist country I've lived in, but also the most racist country I've ever visited.

It is a practise of voice from the top. Hotel price tiering proposal. Top crooked, don't expect bottom to be straight.

More frustrating in that I live in thailand , associate as much as I can on an equal basis with those that I come into contact with daily but the Thai Govt and others deliberately discriminate (for money) based on racial grounds.

Strange phenomenon in Singapore. Foreigners go in Free into Casino but Locals will need to pay $150😀

That is for a reason: Locals shall not loose their money, because the Gouvernment cant't kick them out of S-Pore.

Tourists, however, .....

It is also a form of dual pricing favouring farangs.

So where do Singaporean go to loose their money, In Genting and Cruise Ship.  What an irony.

Yes, but they can't, or won't go every day on a cruise or to Genting.

The funny thing, this entrance fee gets them only 6 hours in there.

But on the other hand, Singaporeans , who really wanna play, and that a lot, can buy a one year ticket, for 3000 S$. I think, the 6 hours is canceled, then, too.

What do you think about, that they forbid entry to people on welfare-office money? Favoring tourists ? (Not only farangs, all NON RESIDENTS of Singapore can get in free. Farangs living there have to pay, too)

We and a weird one my last trip.

We went to Mae Kampong

Very popular with Thai tourists

Me and another farang

The English menu had about 8 items on it and the Thai menu about 20 items

I guess they were limiting what we could eat 555

I always joke with my wife

She always "checks in" on Facebook(post where she is) when we stay at The Four Seasons but doesn't seem to worry about "checking in" when we stay at a Best Western   :)
