A father yesterday shot his drug-crazed son dead as he tried to attack him with a machete. Ruangrit Phromthong used a shotgun to kill his son, Adisak, high on methamphetamine, as he wielded a 1.2 metres long knife in front of his face at about 5.45pm on Sunday in front of a house in Moo 11 village of tambon Si Khit, Sichon district. Some 851 doctors and alumni of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, launched a campaign to get the Thai government to pause its cannabis decriminalisation bill for the safety of its children.

Maybe they should put their efforts into this problem instead..

In this week i came across the world with 3-4 incidents of father killing their son especially addicted to drugs.

This is an unusual, probably an combination of drug and a global heating up !

 

all frusration increase when the global temperature increases !

Drugs are being distributed all across the country and young people, many out of work and back home due to Covid, are easy prey.   Alcohol and yaba shared around of an evening and we've seen normal loving, decent young family members turn violent against their elders when challenged.

One might expect the current hard times to put drugs out of reach of the unemployed, instead they beg, borrow or steal to buy the cheapest alcohol and drugs they can find.  This has been exacerbated by Thailands lack of tourist arrivals as there're insufficient jobs for many hospitality and bar workers.
