Really??

"Now the head of drug enforcement for the Philippine National Police, Caramat said that ultra-violent approach to curbing illicit drugs had not been effective.

“Shock and awe definitely did not work,” he told Reuters in an interview, speaking out for the first time on the issue. “Drug supply is still rampant.” - Reuters

I wrote “somewhat effective”. Interpret that as you wish.

This is the time we live in when the perpetrators of crime get more sympathy and rights than the victims of crime.

Actually, it is humans (who btw all have human rights, lol) who are being murdered without trial by state authority thugs & headhunters, who get the sympathy.

That just proves my point astro more empathy for the criminals than the victims.

It merely proves that you do not care about innocents and fair process. Nor about the futility of this "war".

Extrajudicial killings & corruption: small fry and bystanders are sacrificed, (most of) the big fish remain untouchable.

OMG astro I bet you're one of these nieve people who believe that law enforcement go around killing innocent folk 24/7.

1. Where were you educated.

2. What is you political affiliation.

3. Where do you get your news sources.

I can already guess the answers but it explains your lack of understanding of real life issues.

Members,

The topic is about drugs in Thailand.

Not the Philippines, their current or former President, his actions or not, and certainly not Hunter Biden or anything else. If you want a discussion about the Philippines, start your own thread and discuss it there, rather than just hijacking this one.

Let's get back on topic.

Thanks

Apparently it wasn't - interpretation is down to your use of the language.

No, I am one of those civilised people who believe in due process in a lawful society.

Congratulations you must be a Conservative/Republican right leaning chap like myself.

And there was me thinking you were a Democrat leftist.

But if you believe in due process there's no way you're on the left.

Well done Son I'm proud of you.

Pure fantasy & projection on your part.

I have no affiliation with either of these parties nor is there a correlation between either and "due process" or its absence, I even wonder by now how you understand the term - extrajudicial killings aren't part of it.

The Justice Minister, Somsak Thepsutin, insists the government is winning the war against drugs in Thailand because of the kingdom’s strict laws, despite opposition saying it is worse and out of control. Pheu Thai Party MP Manaporn Charoensri yesterday blamed the government at the censure motion for failing to control the drug situation in Thailand. The MP said drugs were not only more accessible now but cheaper nowadays. But the Justice Minister hit back declaring that, under PM Prayut Chan-o-cha, the government has worked hard to suppress drugs in all forms. He added people could see that drugs in the […]
