Most members, I assume, base their predictions on the current form and results of teams.

I have been using this as the benchmark for my predictions !!

An amazing Boxing Day, will never happen again. The previous winter had been the coldest in the UK in more than 200 years, the following season was played with reckless abandon, everyone was just so happy it was over 😀

Liverpool would go on to be champions, and the Red Devils would recover from their 6-1  thrashing away to Burnley to finish in second.

After the WC break, week 17 proved to be a mixed bag of fortunes for players.

@Faz and @BigHewer topped the scoring with 130 points apiece, which means Faz holds onto the overall lead he gained just prior to the break.

If those had been this last year's Boxing Day fixtures, I wonder how many would have correctly predicted those results and scores.  🥴

What a shocking set of results so far!

This week's are no better, if not worse.

From the 8 fixtures played so far, nobody even correctly guessed the results of 4 of those fixtures.
With 2 remaining fixtures left, some players seriously require a 40 pointer to attain anything that even resembles a respectable points tally.

@Marble-eye is top scorer so far with 70 points, whilst others may eventually be lucky to salvage 50 points.

Well, a bit of a stinker this week.

Of the 10 fixtures, 5 went without anyone correctly predicting the results.
@BigHewer top scored with 90 points and retakes the overall lead. Although he only correctly guessed 3 results, he correctly guessed the scores of 2.
@Chaimai correctly predicted 5 results, but only 1 correct score, but collects an admiral 80 points.

Week 19 fixtures kick off 1730 UK today, but @BigHewer still to submit his predictions.

We then have a short break for cup matches, with Premier League fixtures resuming on Fri Jan 12th with a rescheduled week 7 fixture, so a total of 11 fixtures for week 20.

Week 19 predictions.

@BigHewer and myself electing for a few draw results this week, but not necessarily the same fixtures.

As the two leaders in terms of points scored so far, this could be a battle of wits, or maybe we'll both flunk.
A good score of 120+ and we could have a new leader, it's pretty tightly bunched.

I'll retract that statement.
It looks as though it could be another one of 'those' weeks again.

After 5 fixtures, 3 brought no correctly predicted results.
If @Slacker77 hadn't been the only player to predict the correct result (though not the score) of one of those fixtures, then we'd have been left with only 1 of the 5 fixtures earning some points.

At least everyone has some points on the board, even if it's only 10 🙄

A tale of two half and mixed fortunes.

The first 5 fixtures didn't bring many offerings to the table, whilst the second 5 fixtures brought mixed fortunes for a couple, but not for others. 😀

I'll certainly take the extra 70 points to give me a total of 110 this week, retaking the overall lead, and an absolutely spirited performance by @spicy_girl under the circumstances with a total of 90 points this week.

I can't recall a week, whereas @BigHewer managed this week, to get only a single correct prediction correct, albeit also with the correct score and finish with the third-highest points tally.

The majority managed just 30 total points. 😒
Who's blaming the dog this week?  🤔
