The pickup truck driver who fled the scene after dumping an injured 5 year old boy outside a Bangkok hospital has finally surrendered himself to police. The 5 year old boy was dropped in front of Suksawat Hospital in Rat Burana district at about 3pm yesterday by pickup driver Arnon Nantra. The boy was suffering from a broken hip, wounds, and bruises all over his body. I have to wonder why the children were playing on the road outside a shopping mall.

Seems to me that the parents should accept some of the responsibility here.

It amazes me the intelligence of some people when they commit a crime not realising they’re most likely caught on cctv somewhere around the area.

Even if the child (or anyone for that matter) is in the wrong and hit by a car, the driver of the offending car is considered at fault.  If someone loses their life the driver must pay the family money. The laws are very different in Thailand so applying western logic and western road rules means nothing.
