RIP  and condolences.

Strange circumstances, hope it was just a freak accident. Have not thought about running or jogging for a decade.  My knees, ankles, and hip joints just cannot take that pressure anymore (am 64)

RIP. If he fell hard enough to hit his head and knock himself out that would be a big bump or abrasion on his head. If not there was obviously some other cause of death. Was he vaccinated? SAD happening all over the world.

If you try and get statistics about deaths of foreigners in Thailand, you'll find it's an uphill task. firstly people like to categorise foreigners, by nationality, job, stats, income etc.

then there seems to be little or no recording of any relevant stats anyway. For instance in hospitals, road accidents or domestic accident or criminal events.

The highest numbers of foreigners in the country may be Burmese, Cambodian or even Malaysian or Chinese. Digging up information about WASPS on holiday or Lon-term visas is going to be fraught with problems.
