An explosion at a smelting plant in central Thailand’s Ratchaburi province was fatal for 3 electricians last night. The electricians had been sent to the plant to fix a control board, according to police. But as they were working, the control board exploded, and a fire broke out. Factory workers scrambled to put out the fire with an extinguisher and water, but 4 of them were then electrocuted. The fire was brought under control shortly afterward. No safety training, dry powder extinguishers on hand?  Common sense should have stopped them using water.

Owners should be held accountable. Obviously  no safety training. But they'll pay the going rate of 50,000 Baht for each person who died and it will be forgotten. (If relatives chuck up a stink they'll get more)

RIP these 3 poor guys just trying to earn a living to provide for their families in a country that does not care about the safety of its workforce. A quick (and small) payout to the relatives and the employers walk away to kill again.
