The northeastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima, also known as Korat, has just received geographical indication certification for their new strain of durian is getting a lot of positive feedback. Known as the Pak Chong-Khao Yai durian, the far less pungent fruit is a variety of […]

Found the pungency is to do with how ripe the durian is. On the cusp of what we call "going off" it stinks.

Prior to that is isn't so bad or am I just climatizing a bit more?

Don't forget if you do eat it DON'T drink alcohol, mix has been known to kill.

A scientific claim? Or just making things up?

The proper linkage will be acceptable.

Alcohol and durian being a lethal mix is another of those myths - there is no evidence for it. They can be an unpleasant mix though as the durian slows down the livers ability to metabolise alcohol.

Or just making things up? Interesting statement.

Maybe you are the perfect human specimen who has nothing wrong with them, but I would venture to say that that 99% of other Forum readers are not.  Maybe you would like a survey of members for that statement too.

Is It Safe to Drink Alcohol After Eating Durian? Here's What We Found Out - WORLD OF BUZZ

4. Although it’s NOT scientifically proven that this combo could kill, there have been reports of individuals with preexisting conditions who DID die from Durian

By “preexisting conditions” we’re referring to heart or blood pressure related issues like high blood pressure, or even Diabetes.

A perfect, albeit unfortunate, example would be a case reported by The Star involving a 60-year-old man who died after eating too many Durians. A source states that the man suffered from hypertension too.

Another case that took place in the Philippines involved a middle aged man who died after consuming several Durians followed by some Coca-Cola. Say what?!

Regardless of what you pair your Durians with, it’s always best to be safe than sorry. If you have a health condition, always check with your doctors if it’s a good idea to consume Durian and/or alcohol, and if yes, how much is too much?

Alternatively, if you don’t have any health issues, it’s still best to be careful. Take everything in moderation and try your best not to mix Durian and alcohol, or with any other strong substances for that matter! After all, prevention is better than cure!

If you have a look yourself instead of just critizing you would find quite of lot of listings.  Trolls are good at that.
