Are they passing out promotional joints?

Because whoever wrote this headline was, to be kind, somewhat overly optimistic! 

If Cathay Pacific is on the ropes, and it was managed to world class benchmarks... (Don't panic, they're still flying but they're a very sick Parrot!)

Then Thai should simply not exist today. 

However, we are where we are and it is what it is!

If Thai Airways have got their act together, why haven't they refunded the 4500 GBP they owe me from over2 years ago?

Having read on another forum the sets are very hard (I've sat on more comfortable park benches), Customer services at Thai Airways admitted that a number of their fleet required complete refurbishment.

TG's accounting method isn't exactly what we're used to in that asset sales seem to contribute to revenue, hence an optimistic result.  They have managed to quit a large number of airframes, some serviceable others no longer airworthy. 

18 remain for sale: 2 x A380's which should sell; 4 x A340's x would likely sell for scrap; and 12 x B777's - pretty long in the tooth and airworthiness doubtful.

There's a large inventory of spare parts and simulators still unsold, value uncertain.

IMO, TG should source an experienced Western CEO to resurrect the company and return it to its former glory.

Still, I might be suspicious of this surface feel good promotion.

Their contemporary history of business practice could be questioned.
