Please don't do this. It's obvious that religion was not being practiced effectively in this case. Your comment is like blaming weightlifting or jogging for the death of a person who never exercised.

'one of the three pillars of Thai society' is based on an imaginary deity, who specifically told his followers he wasn't, and not to pray to him.

I don't think it mentioned any religion in the article. Perhaps he was a member of a religion of death?
Having said that, the gunman was off his head.

Meth at work again. Something seriously needs to be done to end this scourge on society. Perhaps a full scale invasion of eastern Shan State, to oust the United Wa State Army from power, destroying all the drug factories and a mandatory death penalty for all corrupt officials who help bring the stuff into Thailand.

Is that where the problem truly lies? Or is it really in the human heart? Happy people don't feel any need to abuse drugs. What would happen to the drug manufacturers in Myanmar if nobody wanted their product?

I think what they meant to say is this kind of insanity is more commonly seen in America.

What a ridiculous lunatic. It is likely this heathen has never spent five minutes in contemplation or prayer of any sort. Much less introspection.
