Objections have been raised to a controversial new law being pushed through by the Thai Senate that allows sex offenders the choice of having their prison sentences reduced if they agree to chemical castration. This is just wrong on so many levels to do inside this particular country. The justice minister doesn’t want to read about further attacks on women because he will get grief about why these sex offenders were let back out on the streets to commit further crimes. The incidence of murder of rape victims will climb as the perpetrators may not fear prison but they will fear castration. Inmates will be “convinced” that this is for their own good. Castrated offenders will be released as bitter and angry people back into the community. Short of a bullet to the heads of these offenders I do not know the answer but if Thai judicial history is any indication this is trouble waiting to happen.

The wrong part is the "chemical" in the castration process!
