Never been to an island due to my fear of water. I wouldn't get on a boat for a free 20 year Elite Visa,

Traumatic channel crossing when I was about 10 all but ended my boat travel.

Was talked into a hydrofoil trip to Cozumel from Cancun in the 90's with predictable result. 'Smooth crossing' my ar$e.

I’ve done a “five islands” tour a couple of times and day trips to one or two others. Only ever stayed on Phuket and Koh Chang. KC is worth a trip, very distinct little communities dotted around the island, something for everyone. Terrible place to ride a bike though.

Out of those choices I have only ever visited Koh Chang and normally Mrs Eye will gladly jump into the drivers seat, but not on Koh Chang, the hills with the sharp bends scare her to death.

On a plus note she wants to go to Phuket, but I read they're having a tsunami drill on the 24th, anybody know if they are better than a Bosche drill.

Going to do Kamala Phuket, Phi Phi and then Koh Lanta

 

The ferries to each make it an easier trip

 

I have been to Phi Phi but on my 1st trip and stayed at a private beach...........so don't feel like I really saw it

 

Never been to Koh Lanta, and will do a 4 island day trip down to Trang islands

That’s a good trip. Quite a few different tours. A good idea to ask which four islands. Ideally, it’ll include Koh Mook, Koh Ngai and Koh Kradan. 

I’d like to go back to Koh Ngai and actually stay there. Great spot.
