In this day and age of societal  division who over sees the “so called” media !

Its been reported that this media source has violated rules of foreign ownership ,while being  a staunch critic of the current regime.

The order from the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) was publicised on Wednesday, a day before President Rodrigo Duterte is due to leave office.“

And 2 days before Duterte’s daughter become Vice President and a son of Marcos becomes President. The paper was always critical of the murderer Duterte. It will be even more so in the future with the children of the corrupt set to pillage the country while rewriting  each family’s shameful history.. This is revenge enacted and censorship hiding behind a legal ruling.

Useful Idiot.

"In political jargon, a useful idiot is a derogatory term for a person perceived as propagandizing for a cause without fully comprehending the cause's goals, and who is cynically used by the cause's leaders.[1][2] The term was originally used during the Cold War to describe non-communists regarded as susceptible to communist propaganda and manipulation.[1] The term has often been attributed to Vladimir Lenin, but this attribution has not been substantiated.[3][4]" (Wikipedia)

Never before in Human History has a person/post exemplified the concept better. The Owner/Publisher is a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate who has risked life and limb to tell the truth of a murderous regime to the world, yet there are still "Persons" (I use that term loosely) who remain willfully ignorant.

The truly sad part will occur when the Useful Idiots finally realize the damage/hurt they have caused, but by then it is usually too late, and they end up victims of abuse themselves.

When I see posts like these, I truly wonder if humanity is worth saving.

And this after Duterte's effective destruction of the ABS CBN television network... The Marcos/Duterte regime have effectively silenced all opposition voices. No doubt a new Marcos dictatorship is about to begin. Facebook are complicit in this as most poor Filipino's get there news from Facebook and Facebook did virtually nothing to stop the misinformation spread on their platform about the original Marcos regime and the sons rewriting of history about his father the butcher and mass murderer and his years of martial law.

That may be so but you seem to be missing the point. This  latest action is further proof of bad times ahead for freedom of speech and expression in that country. Look deeper and you won’t be applauding this particular action by the departing President.
