Recommended Posts

Thailand is open for business. The whole country is now a ‘green’ zone, allowing a full-scale resumption of business and activities with even the Thailand Pass being dropped next Friday. It’s about as back to normal as it can be at this time. Decisions made by the CCSA on June 17 were put into effect yesterday after being published in the Royal Gazette, including the re-establishment of old closing times for nightlife and the removal of mask requirements (in open spaces). Face masks will still be required in government buildings and public transport, including the BTS, MRT lines, and buses. […]

Why is this Luna Covid 19 insurance allowed to advertise falsely that you need $10,0000 insurance to enter Thailand as that is not the case now that the Thailand Pass is bye bye?

The law has yet to be gazetted and should come into force on July 1.  The Ad is no doubt still current according to the entry rules.

Anyone know if fully vaccinated in Thailand means 2 Jabs and a Booster?

Watching a young vlogger from Philippines the other day, returning to Manila from Singapore via KL on Air Asia.  He and his Filipina wife were refused entry at Manila for not having a 3rd Booster jab.  Several others on the flight caught in same situation.  Had to buy tickets back to KL, get COVID tests, then were admitted upon return to Manila.   It's not Thailand obviously but wondering if there's a similar wrinkle here.

The latest info from the Thai Embassy in the UK is 3 jabs including booster.  No masks with immediate effect, no 'special' Thai Covid Insurance, though ensure your own travel insurance covers for Covid and you have proof that you have had 3 jabs.

Not true. 2 doses fine, or 1 of a 1 dose course.

According to the MoPH, travellers are considered fully vaccinated if:

  • They get their second dose of a 2-dose vaccine no less than 14 days before their travel date to Thailand.
  • They get a single-dose vaccine no less than 14 days before their travel date to Thailand.
  • In case of mix-and-match vaccines, travellers should get their second dose of a different vaccine within the recommended interval of the first vaccine no less than 14 days before their travel date to Thailand.
