if i have a schwab debit card, wise seems unnecessary unless i want to transfer >$1k per day.

wise debit card also has foreign transaction fee if used for purchase in a store

any other wise benefits that the schwab debit card can't provide?

Like you said, wise.com is better for big transfers. That schwab card is only an option for US residents.  I don't have that option so wise.com is what I do.  I also use some other services like MoneyGram/Remitly in countries where I don't have a bank account.
