An extravagant vacation home infested with worms, rats and cockroaches, turned one family’s dream holiday in Pattaya into a nightmare. Typical. Should have offered to refund all the money to retract the post

Yes, Cabra the red flag was the villa owner asking to have the thread removed from social media, The next stage will be blackmail to get a heap of cash from her, probably through a Solicitors letter warning her. She obviously is well off enough to hire a villa at that price for 2 nights.

You would think that any owner with half a brain or common sense would have had the place cleaned and disinfected prior to letting anyone rent it out, especially at that cost, can I assume the owner is Thai ?
