Thailand’s new special envoy has spoken out as an apologist for the Myanmar military by urging the international community not to “get stuck in cancel rhetoric” when dealing with the Burmese Junta that seized power 16 months ago. She spoke in support of ‘moving on’ from the past and towards a different style of engagement with the military leaders. Pornpimol ‘Pauline’ Kanchanalak was speaking at an annual meeting of security and international affairs yesterday in Singapore. She is a senior advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Whilst other speakers about regional security were drawing attention to the atrocities, show […]

How can one engage diplomatically with an army junta that has a blood lust and total disregard for democracy? This Pauline person is an utter disgrace and makes it ever more obvious that the Thai government still sees military take over as the preferred means of ruling. Let the Thai people be aware of this as the supposed election draws closer. A result that the Thai military does not like will be followed by another coup and more years of political repression.

Ah…. isolation so the junta can do whatever they want with no-one being able to raise the alarm. They did that in Cambodia a while back. Didn’t work out too well.

Vietnam forced to eradicate Khmer Rouge. India will one day have to obliterate Burma Junta. India cannot surely tolerate an indefinite “ North Korea” on their eastern border.

These murderers interested only in power and will eventually be toppled only by force, preferably internal. Top General nakedly stated recently that anyone attempting to take away their illegitimate power “will be killed without hesitation “. And There it is. No pretense at serving their people. Quite the opposite in fact. Pure Evil & One Solution Only. 😡

Unfree Thailand already has Zero Credibility Internationally. Now this absurd utterance, after their pathetic money- driven “ neutral” ukraine stance,  again shows why. 😡

The last paragraph sums up the character of the Pauline Kanchanalak. Nothing is to be gained by recognising illegal coup political parties that overturn the will of the people. All the Burmese army is doing is protecting its power and assets obtained illegally. The de facto-Burmese government should court-martial and put the death penalty on the coup generals. Even though they can’t carry it out, in the future they may be able to.

And who is going to be able to do that? Do tell. I’m sure the “rebels” in Burma would love to know that also.

I just know you own one of those t-shirts -  “Kill ‘em all and let God sort ’em out!”

Why would India give a hoot about a non nuclear Burma? No-one is going to sell those fruitcakes nukes. Even Kim Dim Sim wouldn’t be that stupid. India can’t even sort out their own crap in Kashmir.

Only saying what Pnut & Co  tell her. Maybe not her personal thoughts but she wants to keep her job.

Send her to Myanmar to live.  Clearly she’s being influenced to say such ridiculous things.  Where did appeasement ever produce Justice?

The problem is that ASEAN is not united and committed to the complete ostracism of the Myanmar coup “thugs” who should be removed and prosecuted for their crimes against the people of Myanmar who were on the path to prosperity before being violated by these cowards.
