Multicoloured, Mexican amphibians are Thailand’s latest trend, but experts are begging people not to buy them. Sure they didn't come from China? just going off the pic in the article. Looks like something China would sell.

It reminds me those fluorescent axolotls I saw during a visit in the AquaCore center at Monash years ago... nice creatures, but this artifical coloring is criminal...

Well yes allegedly they were for sale on Wuhan market. Next to the stand that sold covid-infected bats and armadillos.

there were no bats in the wuhan market, they were a few km away with the batwoman (scientist) in the nearby lab that studied pathogens in co operation with other countries
