700 cases in a population of over 7 billion... less than .000001%. They are really stretching to push this as a future plandemic, aren't they!?

Obviously pissed off at the world forum denying the right to jackboot onto Sovereign Nations with the perceived excuse of a life-threatening virus. Let's see what they pull out of their fundamental orifice next!

But in a months time it will be 600 per country …. Just like our favourite beer …. With the lemon slice. We all know how that ended 2 years worth of fun and travel. They have been saying this has come from wuhan labs as well  …… no monkeys in their wet markets.

Don't worry about the monkeys it is spread by rats, we have billions of those in the world so maybe 6 million per country is feasible. It needs to be treated seriously no matter where it comes from.

In 2003 there were 72 cases identified in the US although some  reports state  lower numbers.  While this  disease is known to be common in Africa it is not easy to find specific records of the number of cases yet a nominal 3 < 6 % fatality rate is stated!

The  concern now is that the virus has mutated into a more virulent transmissible form.

False. The concern is the virus could mutate into a more transmissible (not virulent) form, if the outbreak is long enough. DNA viruses probability of mutation is at least 3 orders of magnitude lower than SARS-CoV-2's one.

Not false in the context of consideration ( has it? ) of as yet unknown transmission in some of the confirmed infections. There are known variants but transmission has historically been considered  to have been animal to human. That concept has been pt aside given the majority of this new outbreak is demonstrably human to human albeit related to very  close contact while ,as  yet, some individuals have contracted the disease with no apparent connection.

I was patient during all the COVID business, going along without getting exercised, refusing to join the teeth gnashing drama camps at either end of the internet spectrum.   This too shall pass.  

When I saw the obscure, trial balloon article about monkeypox t-minus 2 weeks ago, just as all the ominous sounding COVID variants had been squeezed for all they were worth, I thought, "LOL, here we go.  Right on time!".   Ukraine is already boring old news, so the painted morning chat show hosts, left to fill air time with breaking news about Kim Kardashian's fake butt, didn't need to be told twice.  OMG! Code Red Emergency coming in 3-2-1. 

Monkeypox also has the potential to get the religious nutters squirming in their seats about Evolution, and oh boy, now there's blood in the water with the homosexual angle.  Move over TopGun Maverick, this is gold plated stuff.
