Yup, a soi dog of the stealth ninja variety tried to relieve me of a chunk of my right buttock when I had the audacity to pedal near him during his siesta under a parked car !!

In 6 weeks all over Thailand I've never seen fewer soi dogs ever 

 

It seems the # of dogs on the street is being drastically reduced, from the looks of it

Looking at the results of others, Score: 3 isn't so bad.  I was surprised about registration. I keep confusing enforcement with the legal position ....

Definitely fewer stray dogs in the areas of Bangkok I went to last month compared to pre-2020.

The last question was a lucky guess.
As a dog owner, and previously suing a vet through a lawyer, I did some research at the time which aided me answering the other questions correctly.

Awful that one would have to worry about pets being captured and eaten.
I take it that there is not much of a stray dog problem in Vietnam?

3/5 Registration exists? Shocked that a Thai even considered euthanasia for anything let alone went through with it.

I got myself an air powered BB gun. It doesn't do serious harm if you use the plastic pellets. At first I was a little cautious about brandishing a pistol, wondering what the locals would think if they saw me shooting at soi dogs. To my great surprise and pleasure, they cheer me on when they see it.
