https://youtu.be/9lEgx7zzkmI   International airlines have been issued with a notice from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, advising them of revised rules for entry to the kingdom from today.  CAAT chief, Suthipong Kongpool, says all international airlines serving Thailand are required to screen and categorise passengers into 3 groups. The first group is the fully vaccinated passengers, who, if suspected of having Covid-19 symptoms, should self-test with an antigen test. Group 2 is for the unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, who must take an antigen test or PCR test within 72 hours of departure. The third group is for foreign travellers […]

And the airlines will probaly tell them where to stick their rules.

Airlines are in the business of transferring people from point A to B, nothing else.

Thai CAA (hopefully) will wake up when there are no plane arrivals at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Bye bye tourism.

Idiots.

I find it incredible (even though I shouldn't) that this gov are STILL harping on about f-ing Covid! In the West it isn't even news anymore, it's in the past. Who would want to spend money to come here and re-wind 12 mts into a Covid world when they have virtually forgotten about it??

I feel embarrassed that I live here now, and ashamed that I'm still at the mercy of these fools, halfway through 2022.

Drop all restrictions you utter cretins!

The world is moving on as Thailand is left behind.
The US & Europe are traveling like there’s  no tomorrow .
Meanwhile very few flights available to Bangkok at this point.
The “Airlines” know where they are welcome .

The Kingdom does not want a return to pre pandemic numbers as they continue restrictions for foreigners.
Maybe 2023 will be more favorable.

Im surprised by some of the comments on this thread.

Thailand might be behind compared to some countries. But it is still ahead compared to a lot of countries including US and Australia.

Currently unvaccinated travellers are not allowed (or very restrictive) to enter US or Australia, but are allowed to enter Thailand.

You can check all current restrictions at this website:
