A senior Thai police inspector told Thai media that Royal Thai Police plans to redouble its efforts to fight international crime as the country opens up more and more with the ease in Covid-19 restrictions. The inspector, General Wisanu Prasatthongosot, told Daily News that Thailand is located at a crossroads in the region that makes it an ideal spot for international crimes such as cyber crime, money laundering through fake companies, and several others. And why are the international criminals attracted to Thailand?

Like coming home.

Pay a brownie here and there, no problems.

Bit like the Carribean Pirates of Olde who were allowed docking, protection and resuppyling for a fee.

“At a crossroads for things like Cyber crime”. Does this person even know what cyber crime is? They probably mean they can get ready to take their share of the proceeds. New bank accounts need opening and new burner phones set up etc. You wonder what nonsense they will think of next.

I hope he knows the difference between Mafia activities and proper Policing?

He meant Uber drivers from US, Europe and AU.... thinks all are part of the taxi mafia 😂

Why didn't this police general  crack down on the boiler rooms in Pattaya and  Bangkok. The long departed  journalist Andrew Drummond profiled several criminals and their ties to established Thais. none of the people profiled was held accountable. Drummond had to flee for his family security.
