A Japanese restaurant in Bangkok has raw pork on the menu, but Thailand’s Department of Health is begging people not to eat it. After a photo of the restaurant’s menu went viral on social media, eating “pork sashimi” became Thailand’s latest trend. But eating raw pork can actually kill you, warns the department. Eating raw pork in any form can give you a tape worm infection. Tapeworms are great for weight loss and death, in some cases.

If the department of health was really on their game, they would have this restaurant shut down until further notice.

I've been eating raw pork all my life. Minced with peper, salt and a bit of nutmeg, it is often eaten in my country, just like minced beef/tartar. But it was checked by veteriarians and food inspectors in the slaughterhouse. Without those inspections, I wouldn't eat it.
