Give it time mate. Pepsi we’re just the first ones to think of this scam. The whole world is at it. All blaming fuel prices and the war in Ukraine. Let’s see if prices come down when oil is $40 a barrel and the war in Ukraine is over. These large multinationals and their shareholders need to accept these are difficult times and do their part by taking a cut in profits and hence dividends. Yeah, and pigs should learn to fly!

I wanted to send a letter of complaint to Pepsi, but then I noticed the current postal prices, so I didn't.

Seriously though: it's understandable that prices go up when cost of production increases, but unfortunately the favorite tool of companies is a ratchet (meaning that - if consumers haven't left en masse - prices won't go down when eventually costs are back to their original level or even even below). Not only that, the dominant competitors within a sector copy each other (or even collaborate over decisions), making it hard for the public as a whole to boycott one over an other, meaning they all get away with their "ratchetry".

The only real reason for colas' is if you fancy a rum and coke.

Just consume less trash (drink water instead of soda/milk, walk instead of driving, etc.) and you won't feel the effects of inflation as much as others do.

In term of energy content, on average beers have more or less the same, if not more, kcal/100 mL than pepsi or coke (beer has no sugar).
