Unfortunately, as with all road rules in Thailand, some people treat them as a mere suggestion that can be obeyed or ignored at the road users discretion. Until there is strict enforcement of the rules in place we will continue to see these types of incidents. I call it an incident rather than an accident because it seems that one of the people involved made a conscious decision to go through a red light and that was not by accident. -
