As Thailand’s monsoon season pushes on, areas of Phuket have been damaged by storms today and yesterday. One of the spots hit by heavy wind yesterday was the Kata Karon Food Festival in Phuket’s main city district. Photos by The Phuket Express show chairs, tents, and rubbish strewn across Karon Park. A sudden strong wind brought down a tall palm tree at a Lodge in Chalong, also bringing down electrical lines. No injuries but it shocked the guests.

When that it comes tourism (domestic or otherwise) seems like if not for bad luck Thailand would have no luck at all. Here's to better days ahead.

The one you have to give the Thai people is the resilience they have, It will be as if nothing happened tomorrow. They will clean up and feed the soi dogs at the temple.No one will even know it happened.👍

If you decide to have a food festival in the rainy season you have to expect soggy food. Just put the sticky rice out overnight to catch the rain showers. It’ll be perfect in the morning.

i agree but what is their option???...also wouldnt this apply to Filipinos and seemingly daily typhoons???
