World Health Organisation officials Monday revealed the outbreak of the monkeypox virus in Europe and the US “is primarily spreading through sex among men with around 200 confirmed and suspected cases across a dozen countries.” But today the WHO insist that the disease isn’t just isolated to one community. Andy Seale, from the WHO’s Department of Global HIV, Hepatitis and STD Programmes, says “There’s a lot of stigma and discrimination that surrounds many diseases. While we’re seeing some cases amongst men who have sex with men, this is not a gay disease.” The Thaiger revealed Monday that the Thai government […]

The monkeypox strain presently circulating is mild and symptoms can resolve on their own, though effective antivirals are available to treat the illness.

But still, countries are starting to pill up vaccines, Belgium has imposed a 21 days quarantine for patients, WHO keeps talking, articles coupled with scary pictures keep coming, etc... etc... So this kind of madness will now never end as we will have a new one as soon as someone sneezes somewhere in the world... a mad world indeed.

People with compromised immune systems and also plain old fashioned anxiety about this supposedly self healing virus would probably welcome vaccinations and expect medicines and a pro active approach. imo, calling it madness and complaining that people are being made aware of the global spread of a virus because it doesn’t effect you is just selfish. And spare me the anti vax/mask/freedumb/fear mongering/big pharma & government conspiracy speech because I’m not listening.

It's a funny one. With all the fuss in the media, but I'm yet to see an interview with anyone who has it.

Good excuse to hang on to the state of emergency for at least another year. Or at least untill after the elections.

Well I should right then, I only have sex with women.

Hang on, they said that about AIDS.

2022 is turning into a real crap of a year.

Take care all.

Quit that scaring mongering thing, those 333 people worldwide got that monkeypox, they never have a smallpox, chicken pox and measles since they were little, absolutely, they're going to get it. As long as you have a small pox vaccine, you're GTG, no worries unless the whole world will be shutdown again because of monkeypox.

Thanks for the debate. Firstly there is 0 evidence of this affecting compromised immune systems at all. 0. And this extremely rare disease apparently does not kill and we (scientists it is) have known  it for many years. So why do you speculate about that it is in this forum? Even just mentioning it is mad and irrelevant. Secondly could you please stop with this anti crap where I do not belong, as I said before I do not trust criminals as,  just as an example, Pfizer, found guilty of crimes over 60 times since 2000 (i am on my phone so I do not have the link ready , I will be happy to provide it again tomorrow). In which part of life would you trust a criminal found guilty over 60 times in 22 years? I simply do not! Why do you? Can’t you see the difference with conspiracy theorists? There is no widespread of a virus going with this as it has been for years for the flu for example but never been in the news so therefore a topic for common people like us even being aware of. And suddenly it is? ?? If you cannot make the link between those people who spread the fear and the hugely influential industry who has no remorse to commit crimes to make money, I am sorry but you are not living (and I mean understanding) in the real world out there. Is it that common people have not discovered yet in 2022 corruption, greed, money and power as it never existed before? Finally I got all the main good vaccines available out there, I keep saying that but it seems because I question only one of them I am an anti-vaxx… can we raise the bar now after 2 years please?

Why is it that everyone in authority nowadays denies reality whenever possible?  "90% of the people who get this disease are gay men and it spreads through gay sex.  Conclusion:  It's not a gay disease."  I mean, WTF is going on in the world?

That's a formal fallacy.

Jesus!!! This crap has been transmitted in the original source by 2 gay people having sex according to 2 scientists from 2 different countries I heard of . So one of them infected had sex with someone else and it went on. Not sexually transmitted, it is hard to transmit it unless you have a long period of skin to skin connection, it seems it goes that way (let’s stick to the facts).  Like during sex. If that first had been heterosexual, it would have been exactly the same but it just happened  the original source was gay. I got that from both a French and a British scientists. But really who cares???? Care about being healthy by doing easy healthy things, you will die eventually anyway.

One of the first reports was of a cluster connected to a gay sauna. Thus it became a gay pox!

It sells better than just a “normal” heterosexual sauna. So boring. The first ones to get it were gay… just better for the sale pitch since it is maybe true. If they had been heterosexual, then most likely they would have been drug addicts or muslims or dwarfs or Chinese or whatever… That in 3, 4 or 5 days this will be demolished by science is irrelevant today.

Because there is no such thing as a heterosexual sauna analogous to the gay ones all over the world, where people have sex with multiple random strangers, hundreds a year, for fun (as opposed to money).  This is what I meant by denying reality.  You have to pretend heterosexuals have the same sexual promiscuity and practices as homosexuals, which is obviously not true.

It's a gay disease because it will continue spreading predominantly among gays because of their sexual practices and promiscuity.  That's reality, which tends not to fit the leftist narrative, which is why it is frequently denied.

Or, if you would like this explained more colorfully, you can read the following article by ex-NYTimes reporter Alex Berenson, "Is it monkeypox, or crystalpox?"  https://alexberenson.substack.com/p/is-it-monkeypox-or-crystalpox?s=r

Sick people get sicker faster than not sick people. Everyone knows that. I did not say that monkeypox kills so why do you ask me not to say that? I get it - you are tired of Covid and it’s restrictions, the news etc etc - we all are.  The WHO and crew didn’t cry wolf last time with Covid so to presume that they are doing this with monkeypox is bizarre. You also need to consider who is pushing this monkeypox message. The media. The organisation whose motto is often “If it bleeds, it leads.” They are paid to attract eyeballs not to disseminate information for the greater public good. If you are so  overwhelmed with it all feel free to tune out and chill out because raging against the machine will not work.

So, heteros are not promiscuous and don't have sex with random strangers?

😂

Why don't you direct your comment to someone who actually made that argument.  I specifically did not.  You know, if you have to distort what the other person said in order to attempt to refute their position, maybe you should rethink your own position.

The 60s group The Monkees actually had the pox, I was very skeptical at first till I saw their faces, now I'm a believer.

Strange how this 'flagged as potentially deadly' thing just happened to rear its allegedly ugly head at the same time the WHO was hosting a talkfest to promote them taking charge of all future plandemics, down to and including the same jackboot antics as seen by the more socialist countries, as well as those that don't appear to give a flying fat fig about businesses that crash and burn because they are forced to stop trading.

No conspiracy,  let's just call it "son of covid". The same sheeple will believe all the FEAR generated by media, governments and, especially WHO. Stock up on your toilet paper now!

So, all the infected gays have been promiscuous and indulged in sauna orgies? 😲

How would you know?

Perhaps it is a matter of your prejudiced assumptions not fitting reality rather than some supposed narrative?

I am just answering to the first sentence of your comment cause yes they are. A statement saying from your first sentence that makes me think: do you know or guess? I have been there myself (Hereto places just like that). but I guess you just guess about something you have no clue about. Ok I did read the second part of your comment.,. Speechless I am about it, honestly nothing else.
