The deadline to apply for a 60-day “Covid” visa extension in Thailand has been extended by two months, until July 25. Can see this Covid emergency / Thai pass / masking / Covid Extensions extended yet another two months to 1 October then all dropped to boost / recover the first post- Covid High Season. Low Season perhaps used for a maximum effort to reduce Covid to “ endemic” ?

If you have been relying on these extensions the best advise is to look into longer term visa options if you wish to continue to stay in the Kingdom. The end is near, don't wait and don't be caught surprised

I don't think so. This will be the last time the extension is offered.

The TP will probably be scrapped by July 1.

Masking could be permanent - besides, with monkeypox making an appearance it's very likely that restrictions will be back by October anyway. The government probably believes there's no point in removing masking if it will be needed again in a few months. Thais have gotten used to it and hardly anyone is pushing for it to go away, except us expats and visitors.
