I just think, since English is getting more and more common, they just should stop calling their kids "....-Wish": Titi-Porn, Kitti-Porn,  Supa-Porn, Som-Porn, ....-Porn. 

Just saying, also Porn seems to end up always as the nickname!

A common misunderstanding due tot he tentative to englishize the pronunciaton of พร which is not actually like "porn", but more like phoon (common error since final ร is pronounced as น). Nothing to do with erotic stuff, it just means blessing.

I was in hospital with a friend a few years back. The Doc was called Tossaporn. I had to smile! 
 

Mind you, anyone who is called James and shortens it to Jim May get a few laughs in the bars. The name Jim sounds like a Thai slang word for a Lady part!
