A man in Chon Buri’s Sattahip district has confessed to shooting and killing another man who tried to collect a large debt from him. 45 year old Kanpongpisut Yaichaingnua told police on Monday that he killed the man at a restaurant. Kanpongpisut’s stepdaughter told the police that the victim, 50 year old Pairoj Runroj, had come to the restaurant to collect 10,000 baht that he had loaned to her mother. Sad when this happens, but we are seeing and reading more about these lenders either shooting the person who can't repay all their debt at once, or as in this article the debit collector being shot dead. More and more people getting into deep debt.

I knew someone who was shot dead (mistaken identity) for which the gunman was paid 2,000 ! 

Be careful who you annoy over here - it’s very cheap to make you disappear and no shortage of willing poor assassins happy to take on the risk.

Sorry to hear about that. Yes anyone who lives here should know this and just take it for a fact instead of disregarding it and being careless. Life is cheap here.
