The chief of Thailand’s Health Services Department has expressed concern that parents are refusing to vaccinate their children against Covid-19, due to a fear of side-effects. What's not good is that these parents shower their kid 24/7 in alcohol gel. Children should touch germs to build up their immune system. That's how everybody builds their immune system.

In most European countries the advice is to NOT vaccinate children under 12 unless they fall in a high-risk category. It is considered useless since healthy children who are infected with Covid hardly develop any symptoms. But they do build up resistance against the next variants that may come.

Young people, not just children, are at a higher risk of getting serious side effects from vaccines than getting seriously ill from Covid. This has been true from the start of the pandemic and nothing has changed. Only young people in high-risk groups should be vaccinated.
