A small but mighty dog named Patron has been awarded the Medal for Dedicated Services for his military work in Ukraine’s fight against Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented Patron the dog with the “medal of courage” on Sunday. Patron has sniffed out over 200 undetonated landmines planted by Russian soldiers in Ukraine so far. Patron – which means “ammo” in Ukrainian – is a 2.5 year old Jack Russell Terrier who wears a tiny protective vest. He is a landmine finder and mascot of the Emergency Service of Ukraine. So far, Patron has uncovered 238 unexploded Russian explosive devices, […]

The fact that Russia still uses land mines in this manner and  intentionally deployed them in civilian areas  demonstrates that the Russians are savages. Inexcusable war crime.

Ukraine does the same. The Ukrainian Armed Forces does have some unusual ammo storage locations though. I wonder what if Patron looks for buried treasure in the playground.

Your post says and shows nothing. Boxes  shown look to be empty. Unless open and showing ordinance, your post is empty.  My original comment is that Russian has  left mines in residential areas. Your reply that Ukraine  does the same. Where is there any evidence that Ukraine has invaded Russia and put mines in residential areas and children playgrounds?

Ukraine soldiers are nice guys and never deploy men &  equipment inside residential areas nor seek cover inside structures, deploy  mines to slow enemy advances, blow up tanks or bridges. They only move empty ammo boxes to clean up after themselves and only ever deliver the empties to schools so the kiddies can repurpose them for arts and crafts projects.  A pack of sweethearts that definitely aren’t using mines because, although they are legal,  they are yucky and only people that want to kill people use them.   Happy?

ps: you better tell the US Army General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff that Ukraine isn’t using mines. He didn’t get your memo.
