A school in Surin, northeastern Thailand has introduced strict, conservative guidelines that will deduct points off students for not following the school rules. A photo of the student’s handbook was shared on the “Bad Student” or “Nak Lien Leaw” Facebook page. Why are editorials like this presented as news?  First, there's an obvious transvestite in the photo of four putative students, then there's "strict, conservative" in the second line of the article like it's some kind of "Footloose" parody.  I mean, such heavy-handed propaganda is just embarrassing to read, like it's written by 14 year olds for 14 year olds.

Let's train them to be good soldiers. No individual thoughts, no questioning. Still not doing schoolwork and performing below standards is okay, as long as you are a good soldier.

One might wonder why there is so little innovations made by Thai nationals.......

Think the level of education at this school may improve.

Plenty of lazy students who just don't do homework, disrupt class etc and the teachers have no way to discipline them, and at the end of the year the Director raises all the low marks given by teachers to make the school look good etc. thereby justifying the bad behaviour as there are no FAILS.

No good expecting the families to make sure they do the homework, most are cared for by grandparents and in some cases great grandparents, a lot of whom never had schooling at all or 2-4 years only.

I believe the photo is a scene from a TV show. The students aren't actually students but are actors aged 21+.

Add to that, that parents also pay them off for good grades, so that they don't have to pay an extra year of school fee if they get stuck in the same grade. 

But your point is completely correct. 

I only think the school goes a little far with certain things. The idea of points being deducted sounds good to make their behavior better, especially after 2 years of online learning, there's totally no discipline. But maybe they should only deduct points for being late, bad grades, and actual bad behavior.
