The report claims that trade by restaurant businesses grew in the first quarter of 2022 by 83% since the same time last year. Hotel, resort, and condominium business trade grew up 169% in that time. Trade grew for spa businesses by 100%, and there was a 400% jump in trade for tour and travel reservation businesses.

Don't you love these percentages and the inter department love messages.

Must be an election soon.

Businesses closed since March 2020?

New businesses opened?

Always nice to see the government to pat themselves on the back for doing their required jobs even if it’s a couple of months late.

I wish that were true mate. I’ve just posted about a similar upbeat tone used in the rental market in Phuket.

It seems self praise = improved foreign investment and a stronger currency. Thailand only has to talk about what may come soon and the Baht goes up 2%. In contrast, the Bank of England increases interest rates and nothing happens. A Number 10 insider mentions a problem with Larry the Cat  and the Pound falls by 2%.
